Maldives Marine Expo 2023

Maldives Marine Expo 2023
Date: Friday, March 17, 2023

We were delighted to return to the Maldives Marine Expo this time from March 15–18, 2023 at Central Park, Hulhumalé and welcome partners and operators to our new home at Stall B10. Building on last year’s momentum, our team met boat owners, resort fleets, fishing professionals, and government agencies to discuss day to day realities on Maldivian waters and the practical upgrades that keep vessels safe, efficient, and schedule reliable across the atolls.

Our centerpiece this year was the HD Hyundai marine engine lineup, reflecting the brand evolution that brings stronger global support and a wider parts network to the Maldives. We focused conversations on correct sizing, cooling considerations for tropical operations, and proven maintenance routines that reduce downtime.

Many visitors asked about lifecycle planning choosing the right reduction gear and propeller match, setting realistic service intervals, and structuring spares kits so crews can complete fast turnarounds between island routes.

To complement propulsion, we introduced REV 1 lubricants engine oils, gear oils, and greases formulated for saltwater environments and showcased DONG I marine steering and transmission solutions. Hands on demos helped captains and engineers understand steering feel, shift smoothness, and preventive maintenance steps that extend component life. The combined package engines, driveline, and lubrication sparked useful discussions about total cost of ownership and how aligned components can deliver quieter operation, better maneuverability, and measurable fuel savings over a season.

Feedback from operators was clear: keep training practical and on island, improve same day access to critical spares, and provide concise documentation that works in the engine room. In response, we scheduled follow up site visits, refined our recommended spares lists for common duty cycles, and began planning short, hands on workshops focused on installation checks, oil and filter changes, contamination control, and seasonal inspections. These are small, achievable steps that collectively lift reliability for ferries, dhonis, and utility craft working long hours in heat and humidity.

Thank you to everyone who visited Stall B10 and shared candid insights from the field. If we missed you during the show, we’d be happy to brief your team at our showroom or travel to your island by appointment. As we expand our solutions covering inboard and outboard power, steering and transmission systems, seawater pumps, safety gear, and more our commitment remains the same: quality products, professional installation, and responsive after sales support to keep your vessels moving with confidence.
